Ceremonial Sage Harvest with Kerrie Moore

Join us for a meaningful afternoon of ceremony, Métis cultural learning, and connection to the land with Kerrie Moore.

During this gathering, participants will learn about the respectful harvesting of sage and the cultural teachings and protocols that guide how we gather medicines from the land. Kerrie will share teachings about respect, reciprocity, and our responsibilities to the land and the medicines we harvest.

This is intended to be a small, respectful gathering that provides participants with an opportunity to learn together, spend time on the land, and take part in ceremony.

What to Bring

Please come prepared to spend the afternoon outdoors:

• Comfortable walking boots or shoes
• Clothing appropriate for the weather
• Water for yourself
• Bug spray
• Sunscreen
• A blanket to sit on during the sharing ceremony
• A cloth to wrap your harvested sage in — please do not bring paper wrapping
• A small snack or refreshment to share with approximately 30 people as part of the ceremony and gathering. Examples include granola bars, apples, oranges, pop, bottled water, or another simple item that can easily be shared.
• As this is a ceremonial gathering, women are asked to wear a long skirt or dress.

Due to the ceremonial and intimate nature of this gathering, we can only accommodate a small number of participants.

Registering through here will enter your name into the draw and does not guarantee a space at the event.

After registration closes, in an effort to be fair participants will be selected through a random online draw. To keep the selection process open and transparent, the online draw will be posted on our Facebook page for everyone to see. For those who do not have Facebook, we will also see if we can make the draw available through our website.

Those selected will be contacted directly to confirm their attendance and will receive the exact gathering location and any additional information they need.

Please only enter the draw if you are available to participate for the full gathering from 1:00–4:00 PM on Saturday, September 19.

We appreciate everyone's understanding as we work to keep this gathering small, respectful, and meaningful.

Registration & Draw Information
RSVPs close September 11. Everyone who has registered by the deadline will be entered into a random online draw.

The draw will take place on September 12 and will be posted on our Facebook page for everyone to see. For those who do not have Facebook, we will also see if we can make the draw available on our website.
